What are rules?

Rules determine which signature template (and optional campaign banner) applies to each user. When a user sends email, WiseSignly evaluates rules in priority order and applies the first match.

Department View: Select a specific department before creating or editing rules.

Create a rule

1
Open Rules

Go to Rules in the sidebar, or use Add Predefined Rules from the template library.

2
Set conditions

Choose Match ALL (AND) or Match ANY (OR). Add conditions such as department, job title, groups, email, or domain.

3
Set priority

Enter a priority from 1 to 100. Lower number = higher priority (1 is evaluated first).

4
Assign template & campaign

Link a signature template. Optionally associate a campaign banner.

5
Apply changes

Save the rule. For Google Workspace, confirm Apply to Google Workspace when prompted.

Priority explained

WiseSignly evaluates rules from the lowest priority number upward. The first matching rule wins, only one rule applies per user.

  • Priority 1–15: Executives, VIPs, and highly specific rules
  • Priority 16–89: Department, role, or team-specific rules
  • Priority 90–100: Organization-wide fallback rules

Best practices

• Use Preview and Testing to verify which template and banner apply for any sender.

• Start from Predefined Rules for common patterns.

• Always keep one fallback rule at a high priority number.

• Requires Admin or Editor role.
